Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi (OFR) was born at Ilase-Ijesha in Osun State on 12th July, 1952 by Late Chief Israel Adekunbi Fadahunsi and Chief (Mrs) Emily Fadahunsi both of Ilase-Ijesha.
He is an avid reader with a profound interest in humanities. Prince Fadahunsi pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science at the University of Lagos in 1974, where he graduated in 1977. He continued his studies even after his retirement from public services at the University of Abuja where he did Masters in Public Administration in 2010.
The year Prince Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR spent in the University of Lagos had a very profound influence in shaping his career. Though an ardent lover of uniform jobs, he saw this crop of officers in uniform having their passing out parade at the Sports Complex of University of Lagos and this has been going on for three consecutive years. He was made to realize that the revenue collected by Customs department goes a long way in meeting up the budgetary provision of the Government of the Federation in providing social services and various amenities to the citizenry.
During his public service days, Prince Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR served in so many strategic committees at the national level. One of the most notable is the Senate Committee on Security between August 2004 and 2007. Prince Fadahunsi also served in other committees including the Committee for Small Arms and Violent Crimes heeded by the Chairman of Independent and Corrupt Practice Commission (ICPC).
